SBN has teamed up with Fan Duel this season, which means there are going to be sponsored posts here at CH on a weekly basis.
But actually, I'm OK with that, because Fan Duel is sort of cool. It's a fantasy game site that allows you to compete (with real money) against other users in daily fantasy games.
If you are into this sort of thing, I can't imagine a better setup; it's really quite easy and intuitive. For NBA games, for example, there is a daily contest using the players playing that night. It costs $2 to enter, you pick your team staying under the designated salary cap, and then you get points for the usual categories. It's all laid out clearly and it's really easy. (I guess there are more expensive games too, but I'm a cheap bastard, at least in this instance).
If you are good at this (which I am almost certainly not) you can win some money.

And here's a link to some instructions.
There is also a direct link for Canis readers here. That takes you to a page where you can join and get an SBN matching bonus for your first deposit.
The whole thing is really quite simple and looks like fun. A lot more fun than a season long fantasy game, I think. I don't have near the patience or stamina for that, but a daily game where I can choose when to play and don't have to worry about long term roster issues is appealing.

Even though this is a sponsored post with affiliate links, all of the opinions in this post are my own. And as an FYI, FanDuel gave me some cash to play its daily fantasy games."
I'm actually thinking of playing tonight's NBA game. 9 guys from the games going on tonight. Who should I pick? I'm going to be terrible at this. I know it. I've never trained my mind to think it terms of fantasy value.
