Timberwolves Beat Knicks 115-99, End Five Game Skid

The Wolves led most of the night and maintained a double digit advantage the whole 2nd half in a satisfying win at Target Center.

Yes, the Knicks were on the 2nd night of a back to back. Yes, Carmelo Anthony sat out the whole 4th quarter.

But it was a much needed and satisfying win for the Wolves tonight at Target Center, as they beat a tired Knicks team 115-99.

John will have a full recap later, but this game was about the veterans. Kevin Martin had a huge night with 37 points on 14-20 from the field and seven threes. It was magnificent.

Mo Williams, inserted into the starting lineup for the first time this season made a huge difference. He scored 14 points and had 13 assists, and really helped the Wolves get into workable offensive sets. He will struggle plenty, but he needs to play in the absence of Rubio.

Corey Brewer had 14 points and six steals, and really wreaked havoc on the Knicks offense. The Wolves finished with 15 steals and forced a total of 22 Knicks turnovers, a huge factor tonight.

Also worth mentioning Shabazz Muhammad getting his first start in the NBA. He was his usual active self, to generally good effect as he finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds, though he had his share of misses. Still, it was an encouraging performance for him as he continues to make his case for more playing time.

That's it for now; John will have everything later.
