Pacers at Wolves
6:00 pm CST
FS North
This should really be a schedule win for the Wolves. The Pacers are on the 2nd night of a road back to back, and were in Denver last night. The Denver-Minnesota trip is brutal, as we well know, and it's even an early start in this one.
That added to the Pacers mediocre play this season in the face of injuries and roster changes, and this is an opportunity for the Wolves to get a win before they head out on the road for a four game trip over the next week.
The Pacers come in 8-19 on the season and have really struggled offensively without Paul George and George Hill. They will likely look to get David West going in post-up and mid range spots. They are still playing good defense, however, and are terrific on the defensive glass, which could be a problem for the Wolves who rely on offensive rebounding to generate a significant part of their offense.
Meanwhile, Troy Daniels is in town and should be available tonight; whether he'll get any playing time remains to be seen. There should be an opportunity given the Wolves' current lack of real guards available. Meanwhile, expect Shabazz Muhammad to get another start as the nominal "off-guard." It will be interesting to see how he does against a team committed to protecting the rim and controlling the defensive glass. Will he be able to get his anyway? Here's hoping so.
