Pacers Visit, Trade Deadline Upon Us

Post-All Star break schedule starts tonight.

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

The Wolves get back in action tonight against the Pacers at Target Center following the All-Star break.  A tough way to get back at it, as the Pacers are leading the Eastern Conference and once again have the best rated defense in the NBA.

Meanwhile, Nikola Pekovic has not practiced and will not play tonight; when he'll be ready is unclear.

Kevin Martin will also not be available tonight, though is hoping he gets clearance to participate during the Wolves upcoming five game road trip.

The trade deadline is Thursday, and of course rumors start popping up.  I've been out of commission for a few days and need to catch up, but will try to get a trade rumor post up at some point later today perhaps.

Names that have been cropping up include the usual suspects--J.J. Barea, Dante Cunningham, Chase Budinger. If the Wolves do anything this week, it will clearly be at the margins.
