Wolves at Suns
8:00 pm Central
FSN
The Wolves visit Phoenix tonight to face the Suns in the third game of their five game road trip, having split the first two. Phoenix is, of course, the most surprising team in the league. Widely expected to spend the season developing young players and worrying more about draft position then playoff seeding, the Suns are currently 33-22 and in 8th in the Western Conference.
The story is Goran Dragic's new level. He's been one of the top point guards in the NBA this season, and is leading a Suns team that has the 8th best offense in the league. Also worth noting is the improvement of the Morris twins--perhaps they just needed to play together to make it work.
The Suns, of course, are the authors of one of the truly bad losses for the Wolves this season on January 8th, as Gerald Green made a game winner for them at Target Center in a game it appeared the Wolves had in hand. That one was painful. Hopefully, the Wolves can answer tonight on the road.
For the Wolves, Kevin Martin remains out, and Nikola Pekovic seems unlikely to play as of this writing, though there is no definitive word as yet.
