Wolves at Nets
5:00 pm Central
FSN
The Wolves are in Brooklyn to take on the Nets today at 5:00 pm, looking for their third win in a row. The Nets, after an absolutely horrific start, have found their footing and have gone 28-12 over their last 40 games. They currently sit in the 5th playoff spot in the East and are looking at a first round matchup with the Chicago Bulls.
Two major positive surprises for the Nets have been the rejuvenated play of Shaun Livingston, who seems to finally have found a place in the NBA after years of struggling with injury, and the play of rookie Mason Plumlee, who has been one of the most consistent first year performers in the league this season after being drafted 22nd overall last summer.
The Nets are sort of the anti-Wolves in that they are outplaying their expected record significantly; they are 38-33 while their point differential suggests a 34-37 team. Either way, they have recovered since their early season doldrums, a period during which the Wolves blew them out at Target Center by 30. Likely a different game today.
No Kevin Garnett or Andrei Kirilenko for the Nets today.
