Bulls at Wolves
7:00 pm Central
FSN
The Bulls are so worried about the Wolves that Tom Thibodeau was at Target Center last night to scout the game. (He actually was there...I doubt he's too worried).
The Bulls have been on a roll since the calendar flipped to 2014, and it has been, as usual, defense that has driven them. This will be an interesting contrast in styles, as the Bulls feature the 2nd rated defense in the league, but only the 28th rated offense, and they play very slowly. The Wolves will likely want to push the tempo even though they played last night, as trying to score against the Bulls defense in the half court is a real chore.
This one matters for the Bulls, as they are currently tied with the Raptors for the third best record in the Eastern Conference, so they have reason to win, and have been off since Saturday, giving them some significant advantages. However, the Wolves have been playing good basketball recently, and obviously are engaged in trying to end the season on a positive note.
In addition to all of the other injuries, the Wolves will be without J.J. Barea tonight due to neck and back spasms. You think you are happy about that, but we'll see how it goes. I'm not as confident. If I am counting right, the Wolves have 10 available players tonight.
