Wolves Around the World: Turiaf Headed to Taipei, Dieng in Senegal

The Wolves are spread out around the world this off-season. Checking in on what's going on.

As befits the Wolves' international roster, several of the players are participating in charitable and outreach activities around the globe this summer.  The NBA just announced their Basketball Without Borders schedule for this summer, including a camp in Taipei, Taiwan, which will include Ronny Turiaf and assistant coach Terry Porter:

BWB Asia will tip off in Taipei from June 13 - 16. John Salmons (Toronto Raptors), Ronny Turiaf (Minnesota Timberwolves) and Cody Zeller (Charlotte Bobcats) will participate. Eight-time NBA All-Star Yao Ming will make a one-day appearance. BWB Asia 2014 will bring together the top 50 players born in 1996 or 1997 from more than 20 Asian and Oceanic countries.

Meanwhile, Gorgui Dieng (a former participant in Basketball Without Borders)  is currently in his birth country of Senegal.  Last week he participated in the launch of a Live, Learn, and Play program sponsored by the NBA and USAID in Dakar, and next week he is hosting a basketball camp in Kebemer, Senegal.

Finally, Ricky Rubio will once again be hosting a kids basketball camp in Spain, this year in July in Tarragona.

Just trying to keep up with the globe trotting Timberwolves.
