Love Nonsense: Lakers, Knicks Stuff We will be Hearing for A While

This is the kind of stuff we will have to live through over the next month until the draft, and likely longer.

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Here's the "latest" from NBC's Pro Basketball Talk, though it's originally from the vaunted New York Post:

According to an NBA source, Knicks president Phil Jackson has been plotting to be involved in making something happen with Love via a trade.

Another source said the Lakers also will make a monster push at trading for Love, who played at UCLA.

The Knicks believe they have the expiring contracts - Tyson Chandler and Iman Shumpert in particular - the Wolves might want so Minnesota can keep cap space to go after the star-studded 2015 free agent class.

Good lord. The Knicks obviously have no shot at all, (as PBT notes the Wolves can have the cap space just by letting Love walk) and the Lakers have nothing but the pick, which simply is not enticing enough, certainly not if it lands at #6.

This is the sort of thing we are going to be inundated with until the situation is resolved. Please don't be mad at me for posting; this is what people are interested in.
