I’m at work and I can’t help myself. There’s Twitter. ESPN ScoreCenter. My friends emailing me. Pro Basketball Talk is feeding me rumors all day.
The Kevin Love clock is ticking, or at least we think it is. It’s going to blow up, no matter what happens, really.
After a weekend of rumors that had Love going to Golden State, things are quiet again on that front. At least as far as we know. Nobody has any idea what’s going or what’s going to happen.
Is there a chance Love could be back in Minnesota next season? Talk about awkward.
"Hey Kevin! Glad to have you back!"
As if selling tickets for a team that hasn’t made the postseason in 10 season is an easy thing the way it is...
There’s been more talk, though, about Love not being traded at all. He will walk and the Wolves will get nothing for him. You do that, you gamble that you can make the playoffs with a disgruntled star and hope to keep him.
Expect this intro to be updated throughout the day if there are indeed any ongoing rumors regarding the All-Star.
Update: The Bulls have offered the Wolves Taj Gibson, Tony Snell, plus Nos. 16 and 19 via Chad Ford of ESPN.
No thanks.
Dan Feldman of Probasketballtalk.com says it best.
"If Minnesota had to trade Love, that’s a decent offer… But the Timberwolves don’t have to trade Love."
Draft Time
What? The draft is already on Thursday? Where the hell has June gone? There’s a lot of talk that the Wolves will plan to replace Love and that guy could be Michigan State power forward Adreian Payne. He’s popular because he can shoot and he’s a pretty solid player all-around.
Negatively, Payne is already 23 years old, so scouts are questioning his ceiling.
I'll meet you in 20 at Domino's. RT @Adreian_Payne Ok I'm in Minnesota what should I get to eat???

Payne did not meet me at Domino’s, but he was in Minneapolis for a workout with the Wolves and Flip Saunders. As always, Mark Remme and Timberwolves.com does a great job breaking down the draft. You can see Remme’s profile on Payne here.
There was once a time in my life when I thought by looking at a million mock drafts, I would become a smarter. Now that I’m a bit older, I’ve realized they do nothing but confuse me. A few, select media members actually know what’s going on.
And even with that, ANTHONY BENNETT WAS DRAFTED FIRST LAST SEASON. #WTF
In other words, anything can happen.
If you’re a Rodney Hood fan, this draft might interest you. If not, move along. Nothing to see here.
With the No. 13 spot, I’m not sure if I’m in love with anyone. Here’s to hoping the Wolves find a diamond in the rough.
You’re on the clock, who do you want to see fall? Be realistic.
I Think This Was Funny
Oh, NOW HE opts in. RT @MattMooreCBS: Report: Andrei Kirilenko opts in for 2014-2015 season with Brooklyn http://t.co/J55TJbF3CE

In other news around the NBA, the 76ers might see some more Ben Franklin in their lives, while Carmelo Anthony has no idea where he’s going to go yet. Expect New York, Miami, Chicago and Houston in the news a lot.
Happy Tuesday, friends. I’ve had this song stuck in my head all day. I expect Tim to make fun of me for it.
