Timberwolves Summer League: Get To Know... LaRon Dendy

The summer season is underway. The Wolves have a few players you don't know on their roster. We're here to help you.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-US PRESSWIRE

Name: LaRon Dendy

How You Might Know Him: He played at Iowa State in college… It was only for one season, though, from 2009-10. He averaged 7.2 points and 3.6 rebounds that season. The transfer out of Iowa State ended up being a smart move for Dendy. He landed at Middle Tennessee State and averaged 14.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. He was an All-American honorable mention. He went undrafted and played with the Washington Wizards and their summer camp in 2013. He spent last season with Ferro-ZNTU and averaged 14.5 points per game.

Social Media Presence?

Stupid relationships.

What Is He Good At?

He can run the court and he’s pretty athletic. He’s 6’9 and is will see quite a bit of time at the 4. He made 50 percent of his shots with Ferro last season. Not too shabby.

Bad At?

When he gets outside of the restricted zone, things aren’t pretty. Dendy attemped just four 3-pointers with Ferro last season. Free throws also aren’t his jam either. He hit just 60.9 percent of them last season.

Percent Chance to Make Team: I always have been one to say that there’s never a zero percent chance of anything. With that being said, this is about as close to zero as you get. The Wolves are in need of a power forward, assuming Dante Cunningham won’t be back. Dendy probably isn’t their guy.
