Off to a late start this morning. Sorry there wasn't an available, new thread to discuss the first games of the FIBA World Cup. This is the type of thing that happens when Management (EIM) leaves town. My apologies.
What Already Happened.
Croatia defeated the Philippines, 81-78.
Andray Blatche led the offensive charge for the Philippines with 28 points. He connected on a three pointer with around five seconds remaining to cut the lead to one, 79-78. Although, it wasn't enough. Damjan Rudez sank two-free throws to bring the lead to three, and behind 26 points from Bojan Bogdanovic the Croatians escaped with a narrow victory.
Ukraine defeated the Dominican Republic, 72-62.
Angola defeated South Korea, 80-69.
Serbia wins easy against Egypt 85-64.
Remaining Games (Central Time)
