Wolves at Pacers
6:00 pm CST
FS North
The Wolves face the Pacers for the 2nd and final time this season about three weeks after losing to them at Target Center. That was about 10 losses ago, and the Wolves are currently riding a 15 game losing streak that needs to end sometime, right?
The Pacers, like the Wolves, have been injury ravaged this season, but are hanging around the fringes of the Eastern Conference playoff race on the strength of their still excellent defense. That win over the Wolves kicked off a reasonably successful 10-3 stretch, but they were derailed in their last game Saturday in Philadelphia, where they lost to the 76ers.
In the last meeting, the Pacers focused on Shabazz Muhammad and Andrew Wiggins, and were able to limit those two guys, while C.J. Miles had an MPE and Indiana dominated the paint. It will be interesting to see how Wiggins does tonight after a confidence boosting run of games.
The Wolves have even more injury problems, as Shabazz Muhammad will miss tonight's game and the next couple of weeks with an abdominal injury, but hopefully we will see Kevin Martin and/or Nikola Pekovic at some point possibly on this road trip. They won't play tonight, however, and the Wolves enter short handed as usual.
