FanDuel is running a limited entry tournament for SB Nation readers, the link to which is here.
I'm still hanging in there with a few dollars left, largely because of one good tournament where I won $25 bucks. It was a huge Pau Gasol night (46 & 18 IIRC) and I had a few other guys do well also.
My thing is I still haven't figured out a good strategy. Should I go stars and scrubs, or should I spread out the money more? I tend to spread out the money. I dunno.
Anyway, if you haven't signed up for FanDuel, you can do so here and get a deposit bonus.
Basically, if you don't already know, it's a daily fantasy game where you pick a set of players from that night's action and accumulate points based on box score stats. But it's for that night only, so you aren't stuck with guys.
It's a pretty good slate of games to choose from including several that should be high scoring affairs:
Rockets at Suns
Kings at Warriors
Raptors at Sixers
Magic at Knicks
Thunder at Hawks
Pacers at Heat
Hornets at Cavs
Bulls at Mavs
Lakers at Spurs
Pelicans at Wolves
Celtics at Nuggets
I would stay away from the Hornets-Cavs and Pacers-Heat, and probably Lakers at Spurs (could get out of hand early, though Nick Young might be worth a flier without Kobe).
But don't take my advice. It's worth less than you are paying for it.
DISCLAIMER: FanDuel gave me some money to play their games. Opinions are my own, and actually it's quite fun.
