So our long nightmare is almost over and we are getting our most important player, talisman, and point guard back after one more game without him. I suspect there will be an adjustment period as he gets back into things and his teammates learn to play with him again, but at least he'll be out there. Which means something that possibly resembles quality NBA basketball.
The Wolves will have 35 games (hopefully) to see what the team looks like with Rubio available; they need to use them. They need to get better, and they need to see what works and what doesn't. This has been a(nother) lost season in many ways, as things have ground to a halt with all the injuries and team-wide improvements have been hard to identify. That needs to change over the last 35 games of the season.
As dubious as the decision-making by this organization is, they need to have a basis for their decisions this off-season; there can be no excuses over the summer. They need to be in position to make pro-active steps in shaping the future of the Wolves. Rubio is central to that, and having him back will be a huge relief.
