Fever at Lynx
7:00 pm CDT
ESPN2
The Lynx should be desperate tonight at home after their loss in game one of the WNBA Finals on Sunday. They Fever were the more physical team in game one, and were able to take away much of what the Lynx wanted to do, winning on a night when they didn't shoot very well themselves.
Now the Lynx have to respond before the series shifts to Indiana for games three and four. They must get more production from the starting back court of Lindsay Whalen and Seimone Augustus, who really struggled in game one, and they need to slow down guard Briann January, who had a big game one.
The Fever seemed quicker to most of the loose balls in game one, were unafraid to be physical all over the court, and forced 15 Lynx turnovers. Their aggressive perimeter defense held Whalen and Augustus to 4-14 from the field combined, and the Lynx didn't help their cause by missing 8 free throws while the Fever were perfect from the line.
The Lynx can't afford to go down 0-2 in this best of five series, and must find a way to counteract what is an aggressive and confident Fever squad tonight before the home fans.
