Pre-Season Game #1: Thunder at Wolves

New, comments

The Wolves actually take the court for a basketball game against another NBA team tonight. Yes, it's pre-season. But still. Basketball.

It's ersatz basketball!  It's not on television!

It's the NBA pre-season, and it's back!

The Wolves take on the Thunder tonight in their pre-season opener, and we get to overreact to everything that happens in one meaningless basketball game.

The world once again makes sense.

The Wolves will be without Nikola Pekovic (of course), and Ricky Rubio (quad strain) for tonight's tilt, but it looks like everyone else should be available. Zach LaVine will take the starting off-guard spot and will try to make it his.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Nemanja Bjelica will make their NBA debuts tonight -- Towns likely as the starting center and Bjelica off the bench.

For the Thunder, stars Kevin Durant (out since February) and Russell Westbrook are expected to go around 20 minutes, and this will be the NBA coaching debut for Billy Donovan.

It's too bad we can't watch the game, but follow along on the twitters with John Meyer, who will be covering things from Target Center for us.
