Timberwolves Fan Appreciation Week

The Wolves will be giving some stuff away during the last two home games of the season, next Monday and Wednesday.

Restraining myself from making a cynical joke...the Timberwolves announced via press release that they will be having some fan appreciation stuff going on the last two games of the season, which are Monday and Wednesday.

Here's the text of the release:

Minneapolis/St. Paul - The Minnesota Timberwolves are wrapping up their 2014-15 season by hosting Fan Appreciation Week. Starting on Monday, April 13, the Wolves will thank fans by supplying a variety of prizes and giveaways around the Twin Cities and during the final two games of the season.

The week tips off Monday morning with the Timberwolves and Metro Transit teaming up to surprise commuters with free Wolves tickets. Timberwolves mascot Crunch and the Timberwolves Dancers will board the METRO Blue Line at 7:30 a.m. to hand out some free tickets for one of the remaining home games at Target Center. During Monday's game vs. the Pelicans, there will be several prizes given out to fans in attendance. The first 10,000 fans through the Target Center doors will receive a 2014-15 commemorative photo print, and select fans will win a variety of prizes including seat upgrades.

On Tuesday, April 14, Crunch will tag along with Papa John's to deliver pizzas and surprise customers with a free order.

Wednesday, April 15 marks the final game of the Timberwolves 2014-15 season as the team hosts the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7 p.m. The day starts with a complimentary breakfast of donuts and coffee served from 6-9 a.m. in the Target Center skyway. During the breakfast, fans will be able to take their photo with the Sprite Slam Dunk contest and BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge MVP trophies won by Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins, respectively, during the 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend.

The first 5,000 fans who arrive for the Wolves vs. Thunder game on Wednesday will receive a Treasure Island token that enters them to win prizes throughout the game including a suite for the Wolves 2015-16 season home opener, pizza for a year from Papa John's, a one-night stay at the Loews Minneapolis Hotel, $100 Uber credit, autographed Wolves items and more.

During Fan Appreciation Week, the Wolves ProShop, located in the skyway level of Target Center, will offer special discounts on team merchandise. On Monday, the store is offering 50 percent off all Wolves t-shirts. Wednesday's deal is 50 percent off all Wolves headwear.
