Timberwolves at Lakers Game Thread

Welcome to the Tank Dome. The Wolves could be hard pressed to lose to this Lakers squad, but I have faith they can overcome.

Wolves at Lakers

NBA TV

For completely unfathomable reasons, this game appears to be on NBA TV. Nobody wants to miss this battle of teams who have no interest in winning, it appears.

The Wolves have four games remaining: at the Lakers tonight, then at Golden State tomorrow, and home to the Pelicans and Thunder to end the season on Monday and Wednesday, and find themselves with two fewer losses than the 76ers. It seems unlikely they will win two of the remaining four, but that becomes a little bit iffy if they manage a win tonight against an almost equally horrific team.

The Lakers, meanwhile, have 20 wins, and look fairly locked in to the 4th spot in the draft lottery, from where it would take a ton of bad luck to fall out of the top five and hence lose their pick.

In other words, neither team really wants to win tonight, it's a late start, and the Lakers are utterly bereft of interesting guys to watch.

I'm going to try to stay up. It's Friday, and Spurs don't play until 9:00 am CDT tomorrow morning.
