Wolves at Blazers
9:00 pm CDT
FS North
The Blazers are sitting at 50-27, atop the Northwest division but with only the 6th fewest losses in the Western Conference. No doubt they would like to win out and perhaps pass a couple of teams immediately in front of them, but their primary concern will be to get to the post-season as healthy as possible. Wesley Matthews is already gone for the year, and key starters LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum are struggling with minor issues that have caused them to miss games recently. Neither played in the Blazers most recent game Monday, but Batum is expected back tonight. Aldridge is listed as questionable, so we'll see.
The Wolves are coming off last night's high scoring loss to a Cousins-less Kings squad, and once again will have limited bodies available. At this point, it's just a matter of getting to the end of the season, hopefully without further injuries. Nikola Pekovic underwent a "debridement" (don't know what that is) on his right Achilles tendon today; hopefully he will recover in such a way that he is able to provide something to the team next season.
According to Wolfson, at one point during the Wolves game last night, as the Wild were playing, fewer than 1000 people were watching the local Wolves broadcast on FSN. What a franchise.
