Happy Friday, everyone! I don't know about you, but I'm more than ready for the weekend! Let's take a quick look at what's going on in the land of Minnesota basketball today.
It's Official: Timberwolves Sign Tayshaun Prince
The Wolves announced Thursday that they officially signed veteran Tayshaun Prince. Details of the contract were not immediately released. Per the team's press release, head coach Flip Saunders said the following:
"We're excited to add a veteran like Tayshaun. Having coached Tayshaun for three seasons in Detroit, I know that his experience and defensive mindset will benefit our younger players. He also has shown that he can shoot from long distance, which will help our ability to stretch the floor."
With the signing of Tayshaun Prince, #Twolves now have a 13+ year vet at the guard (Miller), forward (Prince) & post (Garnett) positions.

AfroBasket Gets Underway
The African basketball championships began and Senegal played and won their first game yesterday against Morocco, 77-71. Gorgui Dieng was the story, putting up a 26-15 in the win. You can find all you need about the game here. Dieng is getting set to dominate this tournament.
Lynx Look for Friday Night Road Win in San Antonio
After a rough loss to Washington Wednesday night, the Lynx head on the road to face San Antonio this evening. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST.
One thing is for sure... the Lynx need to play better tonight than they did against the Mystics. For those of you who missed it, these two tweets sum up the frustration:
The Lynx' 61 points tonight are the fewest at home since a 71-58 loss to Los Angeles on July 27, 2010. Lynx

Minnesota's 34.4% effort from the floor tonight is the lowest at Target Center since shooting 33.8% vs. New York on Sept. 2, 2011. #Lynx

Lindsey's Friday Flick Recommendation
For this recommendation, I'm going with a movie I just watched a couple nights ago. I found yet another diamond in the rough, another movie that I waited too long to see.
Salt
Angelina Jolie does an incredible job in this film, although it was hard to take her seriously as a blonde, and the story really kept me engaged the entire time. There were plenty of plot twists, and I also found the general premise unexpected. Whether you love action movies or are just a Jolie fan, this is a great choice. Check out the trailer below, and happy weekending!
