Wiggins, Bennett and Dieng headline FIBA play

Gorgui dominates AfroBasket while Wiggins & Bennett impress during Canada's match vs. Argentina.

It's Monday morning and there's 43 days until Timberwolves [preseason] basketball is back.

Luckily, the Wolves are keeping us entertained.

Ricky Rubio spent his weekend in ManilaGorgui Dieng dominated at AfroBasketShabazz Muhammad has continued his workouts and there was a "huge" trade rumor...for about 30 minutes.

There was also a bit of chatter online regarding these comments from Ricky:

Meanwhile, Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins took part in the Tuto Marchand Cup yesterday afternoon. Wiggins dropped 18 points on 6-13 from the field while Bennett had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Bennett looked to be confident, throwing down a couple powerful slams while Wiggins scored half of his points in the first quarter of play. Canada is back at it again today to take on Brazil.

The Lynx have been on a bit of a slide lately, dropping 3 out of their last 4. Yesterday, a dismal first half versus the Mercury quickly dug them into a hole they couldn't climb out of. Coach Reeve was ejected during the 3rd Quarter and that was that. They'll look to get back on track on Friday vs. New York.

Update on my 2k series: I'm down 2-1 in the 2nd round of the playoffs vs. the Warriors. It was a bit too boring to post, so here's another great classic KG find - his first appearance on NBA Inside Stuff with Ahmad Rashad:
