This weekend in Wolves news ended interestingly, as Flip Saunders returned to the Twitterverse after a one year hiatus to address the rumors that he dislikes shooting threes. It's unclear what prompted the tweets, as most of the news regarding the team as of late has been nothing but positive. I'd love to know what bloggers and sites Flip is reading.
Let's set this straight. I love 3 pointers. We have to shoot and will. Whoever said u didn't like 3 s is wrong. We will improve.

This of course led to a brief spate of tweeting, including speculation about who he was referring to when he wrote about "blogs and 'experts'." At any rate, hopefully they do increase the frequency and accuracy of their three point shooting, but you can't criticize people for being skeptical given the numbers throughout his coaching career.
In other news, the first NBA Africa game took place on Saturday as Team World went on to defeat Team Africa 101-97. As you can guess, there wasn't much to takeaway from the game, but Gorgui did end with a line of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The best part was the surprise appearance (as players!) of two of the heroes of African Basketball - Hakeem Olajuwon and Dikembe Mutombo. What a moment.
Meanwhile, the Lynx continued their winning ways on Saturday vs. the Shock led by Maya's 20 points and newly-acquired Sylvia Fowles' 19. Maya dropped 16 of her 20 in the fourth quarter and extended her franchise-record for consecutive 20-point games to eleven. If you haven't tuned into a game, now's the time - they're on a roll.
Lastly, for those who care (probably not many, I know), my 2k videos are taking a break for the week. I took the weekend off from gaming and played some pickup at my local gym. I've had a few knee problems recently so I haven't played in awhile, but was advised to pick up Steph Curry's shoes and they actually helped a lot. I didn't want to cry every time I took a jump shot. Baby steps.
