Lynx Looking to Friday
After a satisfying home win over Phoenix Sunday night, the Lynx are hoping to notch another win at the Target Center Friday. They will be facing Indiana, a team they defeated 78-69 back in June and have not seen since. The Fever's 17-12 record places them No. 3 in the Eastern Conference.
Minnesota has lost four of its last six games and will hope to capitalize off a recent win to grab a second. The Lynx already clinched a spot in the WNBA Playoffs, but some concern has risen about their play as of late.
With both Lindsay Whalen and Seimone Augustus fighting injuries as of late, Minny will be relying heavily on Maya Moore and Sylvia Fowles as well as needing a strong effort off the bench.
Sunday's win increased the Lynx's overall record to 20-10, good enough for a comfortable first-place lead in the Western Conference. Hopefully, September will be a more successful month for the team.
