Lynx face elimination, Media Day for Wolves approaches

A few notes from the weekend.

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

Soon, the days of short Monday morning posts will end. Today is not that day.

On the bright side, media day is right around the corner and NBA 2k16 drops this Friday. In addition, the Wolves seemed to have finalized their training camp roster with the additions of Nick Wiggins and Kleon Penn over the weekend.

The bigger news of the weekend came from the Lynx, who started their road to another ring with an impressive Maya Moore performance on Friday, edging the Sparks 67-65. Yesterday, Candace Parker and company held a large lead in the first half and the Lynx couldn't recover, falling 81-71. The deciding game 3 will take place tomorrow night at 8pm at Target Center and on ESPN2. Be sure to tune in if you can't make it.

Small Wolves notes from the weekend:

  • NBA.com's Steve Aschburner wrote this piece on KAT that's worth a read.
  • In what I thought would be the gold medal game, Serbia fell to France for the Bronze EuroBasket medal. Bjelica had 12 PTS/6 REB to end the tournament.
  • Shabazz Muhammad is turning into the Hulk.

  • Ricky Rubio and KG were in attendance and supporting the Lynx during their first playoff game on Friday.

Finally, I wasn't able to get a 2k video done this weekend, so instead, I'll give a shot at a song of the day:

Let me know if I missed anything below.
