I admit to a lack of motivation for writing this game thread.

As proof that even a marginally useful point guard can make a difference, the Sixers, after trading for Ish Smith, have now won two of their last five games, both on the road during a six game road trip that just ended.

That leaves them at 3-33 on the year, and possessors of the worst offense in the league. No doubt, however, they are looking at tonight's game as a chance for a rare win before their home "crowd."

In their first match up, though the Wolves managed to win, Karl-Anthony Towns struggled against fellow rookie big Jahlil Okafor, getting into foul trouble and scoring only six points in 19 minutes. Okafor meanwhile put up an impressive 25 and 10 line. With that in mind as well as his poor performance against the Bucks, no doubt Towns will be eager to have a big game tonight. Hopefully not over-eager.

Sitting on two losses in a row, with a four game homestand against some quality teams upcoming, the Wolves really could use a win here. Let's hope they get it.
