Former Wolves Assistant Bryan Gates Joins Dave Joerger with the Kings

Bryan Gates, an assistant to Sam Mitchell on last season's Timberwolves staff, has joined Dave Joerger's staff in Sacramento, according to reports. Gates, who has held a variety of NBA assistant coaching jobs and has extensive experience in basketball minor leagues, spent the five years prior to his year in Minnesota on Monty Williams' staff in New Orleans.

With the firing of Sid Lowe among others earlier this spring, Tom Thibodeau needs to build a coaching staff. Ryan Saunders and David Adelman apparently remain employed by the Wolves.
