Finals Resumes and Possibly Ends, Lynx in Action

NBA: Finals-Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

This is a thread.

The Finals could come to an end tonight in game four in Cleveland as the Warriors will look for the sweep against the Cavaliers. It’s been a dominant performance by the Warriors to this point, with 15 straight wins in the playoffs, and after the Cavs couldn’t close out game three when they led late, it’s hard to imagine any other result but a GSW win. But you never know.

More interestingly, perhaps, is a match up between the leaders in each conference in the WNBA. the Lynx are in Washington to take on the Mystics, who are 6-2 and have won five in a row, led by Elena Delle Donne. This is a terrific early season test for both teams, and the Lynx will look to continue their perfect start. The game tips after 6:00 pm Central. Follow @Lynx_Dynasty (and me) for updates.

On the Wolves front, nothing. Looks like they are going to hold a free agent mini-camp next week to get a look at some marginal guys who haven’t caught on yet. Presumably at least in part it’s to find guys for their summer league team.

Meanwhile, the USMNT beat Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 last night in a rather blah performance (especially in a scoreless first half) that was leavened by a brace from Christian Pulisic, who, at 18, is the most intelligent and skilled attacking player the U.S. has. Which is both exciting and depressing at the same time. Other than Pulisic, I thought Darlington Nagbe stuck out positively with his performance. A much tougher test awaits Sunday when they travel to Mexico to take on El Tri, clearly the top team in the region.

That’s it. Needed a new thread.
