What’s up friends?

The basketball off-season has officially entered its dead period, though the Wolves are still short a full roster. That will get sorted out in the next few weeks, but in the meantime, blah. Not much happening.

Except love!

Ryan Saunders got married. With some Wolves and ex-Wolves in attendance.

Also, this:

So happy for my guy Shazzy! Slid into those DMs to chat her up about a photograph, winds up engaged. Shoot your shot.

What’s your story? How did you meet your partner if you have one?

Oh yeah...basketball

So, Danilo Gallinari punched someone in the face in a warm-up game ahead of Eurobasket, hurting his thumb in the process. He will miss the tournament as a result, but is expected to be ready for training camp for the Clippers.

Meanwhile, Glen Taylor seemed to suggest that the Wolves were willing to give Andrew Wiggins a max contract. That’s the road they’ve been on throughout, and seems the likely outcome at this point, unless they decide to make a real play at Kyrie Irving.

The Baketball Without Borders camp is about to get underway in Africa, with Gorgui Dieng among the headliners. This will culminate in the Africa Game on August 5th.

Today in History

30 BC: Mark Antony wins Battle of Alexandria, but victory is pyrrhic as most of his army deserts.
1498: Christopher Columbus “discovers” Trinidad.
1777: Lafayette is named General of the Continental Army
1790: First U.S. patent issued to Sam Hopkins for a Potash process.
1919: Weimar Constitution adopted for German Republic.
1922: Water skis are ridden for the first time, right in Minnesota
1922: General strike in Italy protesting fascist violence

That’s it. Running late today, so this will have to be enough to be getting along with.

Have a great Monday. Talk among yourselves.
