It’s a big game tonight for the Lynx, who host the second place Los Angeles Sparks at Xcel Energy Center at 7:00 pm.
The Lynx, at a remarkable 21-3, have ten games left in the regular season, and currently lead the 18-7 Sparks by four in the loss column. Even without Lindsay Whalen, the Lynx are unlikely to lose hold of the top spot in the league, but the Sparks are their current biggest rival, and both teams will look to make a statement tonight.

Elsewhere, there were rumors yesterday that the Wolves are interested in signing Mike Dunleavy. I’m not entirely sure whether this is “news,” the Wolves presumably have some level of interest in nearly every veteran who is still a free agent, especially those who can shoot the ball. But Dunleavy would be a decent addition to this roster, as he can play spot minutes at either forward position and make some threes.
As David wrote yesterday, we found out that the Wolves will open the season in San Antonio on October 18th. It’ll be on ESPN, and should be a great opener.
