This is the second year of the new WNBA playoff format, in which the best teams get byes and the first two rounds are single elimination. The Washington Mystics, after an inconsistent season, were forced to play both rounds, but came through with a home win over the Dallas WIngs, and a surprise road win over the New York Liberty.

Now they are the Lynx’ opponents in the semifinals, which is a best-of-five series. Neil gave you what you need to know in his preview, and now it’s game time. Can Sylvia Fowles follow up her dominant regular season with a great post-season? Will Lindsay Whalen pick up where she left off before her injury? Will the lay-off since the Lynx last played prove problematic? We find out tonight.
