Timberwolves 2018-19 Schedule Released

The Wolves will open on 10/17 in San Antonio, exactly where they started last season.

Last season, the Timberwolves opened against the Spurs and closed against the Nuggets (in one of the most memorable regular season games in Wolves history.)

This season, the will once again open against the Spurs, and close against the Nuggets.

The 2018-19 schedule has been released, and here are some of the highlights:

Wednesday, October 17th: Wolves open in San Antonio.

Friday, October 19th: Home opener against the Cavaliers.

The Wolves longest road trip is a five gamer at the beginning of November to the West Coast. This trip includes their first two national television appearances, against the Warriors and Lakers, and also includes games against the Blazers, Clippers, and Kings.

This is immediately followed by a five game homestand, their longest of the year.

14 of their first 24 games are at home as are seven of their last nine.

I count 12 sets of back-to-backs.

13 Nationally televised games (ESPN, TNT, and ABC. No word yet on NBA TV appearances.)

The Wolves will not have a Christmas day game this year, probably deservedly.

Despite 7 of last 9 at home, the last 15 look pretty tough: It includes a road trip to Denver, Houston, and Utah, two home games against the Warriors, plus games with the Thunder, Raptors, Sixers.

Looks like they get a small break as Houston is one of the West teams they play only three times, not four.
