The Wolves have added Deng Adel to their roster with an unguaranteed contract. While Adel is unlikely to make the roster, it’s an opportunity for him to impress not only the Wolves but the rest of the league as well.

Adel is a forward who played for three seasons at Louisville, showing growth throughout his time there. He averaged 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists per game in his final year. He also showed some chops as a long wing defender.

A native originally of South Sudan, he emigrated with his family to Australia when he was eight years old. He didn’t begin playing basketball until he was 14, but ultimately earned a scholarship to Louisville. He left after his junior year to enter the draft this summer, but was not selected.

Adel played for the Houston Rockets summer league squad.
