The Lynx take to the road for the first time this season to take on the Dallas Wings. The Lynx are coming off two impressive home wins to start things off this year, and will look to continue against a Wings team that was forced to trade Liz Cambage prior to the season, and have lost their only game so far, a close one against the Dream in Atlanta.

Realistically, this is a something of a rebuilding year for the Wings. Their best player, Skylar Diggins-Smith, is not playing right now because she gave birth in April. Cambage is now in Las Vegas. They are currently headlined by rookie Arike Ogunbowale, the guard out of Notre Dame. While they hired Brian Agler, a multiple championship winning coach, to lead the team this off-season, the roster simply lacks the talent and experience necessary to be a consistent winner at the moment.

The Lynx come in, surprisingly, as the only unbeaten team left in the WNBA. Their off-season remake is looking very successful at the moment, with several newcomers making major contributions. It’s necessary, as the injuries continue to affect this squad. Seimone Augustus, one of the veteran holdovers on the team, underwent arthroscopic knee surgery this week and will be sidelined indefinitely.

But the defense, anchored by Sylvia Fowles, and led out front by Danielle Robinson and Odyssey Sims, has been outstanding, and the Lynx have gotten great contributions from their two rookie forwards, Napheesa Collier and Jessica Shepard.
