The 2020 NBA Draft has officially come and gone, and while the Minnesota Timberwolves entered Wednesday night armed with three draft picks, they left the evening with four players — including one player you may be very familiar with.
On the latest Dane Moore NBA Podcast, Dane is joined first by Will DeBerg, who coaches here locally at the University of St. Thomas, to provide instant analysis of Anthony Edwards being selected with the No. 1 overall pick. Was Edwards over LaMelo Ball and James Wiseman the right choice? How does the former Georgia Bulldog fit alongside Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell? Are the comparisons to Andrew Wiggins completely accurate or totally unfair?
I also had the opportunity to jump on the second half of the podcast and give my initial reactions to the Ricky Rubio reunion, what it could mean on the court, and most importantly (in my opinion) what it might mean off the court.
