With the Minnesota Timberwolves not receiving an invite to Adam Silver’s birthday party in Orlando this August, Gersson Rosas and Ryan Saunders hosted an end-of-season press conference last Wednesday with members of the local media. This presser was more Zoom Happy Hour than sterile gathering in the atrium of Target Center (the norm).
Because this Covid-proof setup fostered conversations that went in many different directions, Britt Robson (The Athletic) joined me on the pod to discuss what we were able to glean from Rosas and Saunders.

For me, this conversation helped me shift into “offseason mode.” We hit on the nuts and bolts — like the KAT and DLo pairing — but really got into the ways this season shutdown might throw a wrench into Rosas’ grand plan. Mostly, it just felt good to start thinking about what next year’s Timberwolves might look like. We left very few stones unturned.
What impact do you see this extended break from basketball having on the Wolves?
