As a general reminder, in addition to the top pick and pick #17, the Wolves also possess their own second-round pick (#33).
While we finally have some structure going forward, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to throw a massive wrench into how teams will approach the 2020 NBA Draft (which is currently scheduled for Friday, October 16). How will teams work out players? Are team visits still a thing? Do all of these guys have Zoom accounts?
Regardless of how this all plays out over the next few months, tonight’s lottery results are a MASSIVE victory for a franchise that has been dead last in doing just that — winning. The top pick should provide PLENTY of ammo for Gersson Rosas and his staff to be uber aggressive as they continue to revamp the roster in attempts to build a contender. Only time will tell, but for now it appears like we can finally kick off #MockDraftSZN to keep us entertained for the next handful of weeks.
With all of that said, what do you think? How do you see the top of the draft playing out now that the order has officially been set?
