After missing six games that were all losses, Karl-Anthony Towns returned to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs. In his postgame media session, KAT said his decision to play was pretty simple. He just decided to say: “F*** it, let’s play.”

Jack Borman joins me on today’s pod to discuss what KAT playing looked like. We discussed:

  • KAT’s cheery disposition postgame. How he felt it was an accomplishment to just get on the floor.
  • Why KAT’s presence allows what they are running to make a lot more sense — on both sides of the ball.
  • What fell apart in overtime? How did Ryan Saunders’ decision to close with Anthony Edwards fair?
  • What might be the plan going forward for this team? If KAT is giving everything to play, will Saunders be focused more on win-now moves?
