Things can’t get worse, right? The Timberwolves are coming off a four game losing streak at home to some opponents that should not have beat the Wolves as badly as they did. Despite that, the Wolves hope to bounce back on the road vs a Memphis team coming off a 28 point loss against the Wizards.
Head coach Chris Finch was asked in the pregame zoom if there was anything he liked from the Wizards and he said he liked “how they won by 28 points.” Me too, Chris! Go do that!
This is a big game as the season already feels like it’s starting to slip away so another 20+ point loss would be... demoralizing to say the least. But let’s get optimistic! The Wolves will be at full strength tonight as starting point guard D’Angelo Russell makes his return after a brief absence due to an ankle sprain.
D'Angelo Russell will play tonight for the Timberwolves

Russell returning will hopefully provide a much needed spark in playmaking and shooting. he also pushes Patrick Beverley and Jordan McLaughlin back to the roles they’re more suited for. Simply put, the Wolves are better when Russell has played this season.
Beating the Grizzlies is no easy task, but if there’s one thing we all know about the Timberwolves is that nothing ever goes how it should. With the way the Wolves are playing there should be no hope for them tonight, but this is exactly when the Minnesota Timberwolves strike! This last sentence could look real ugly as the game progresses but here we go.
Expect a competitive game throughout and for Minnesota to cover the -5.5 line favoring the Grizzlies. Disclaimer: I’m down about $100 on sports betting this season.
