Paynt Points: Timberwolves Quarterly Report

Jake and Kyle dissect the Timberwolves 2021-22 campaign at around the quarter mark of the season.

NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves at Philadelphia 76ers Kyle Ross-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Timberwolves are just over the quarter-mark of the NBA season. There’s been dizzying highs and terrible lows, but overall the team has emanated good vibes more often than. After what we’ve all been through in our Wolves-following lives, that’s a win.

In this edition of Paynt Points, host Jake Paynting is joined by Canis Hoopus pack leader Kyle Theige to break down the ins and outs of the season thus far. They start with the fun of the defense and the accountability that a strong defense produces and then they pivot to some of the more disappointing aspects of the season.

Editor’s Note: As I’ve mentioned before, Jake started a new venture this fall — a Timberwolves Substack — and it’s quickly become must-read material for any and all Wolves fans. If you can, I strongly suggest subscribing to Jake’s newsletter as it provides an enormous amount of information, play breakdowns, player grades after each game, etc.
