The Minnesota Timberwolves went into the draft lottery with the 6th best odds at the number one pick, but ultimately dropped to the 7th pick. Of course, this means that the 2021 first round pick will be sent to Golden State as part of the Andrew Wiggins-D’Angelo Russell swap from 2020.
On today’s episode, Brendan breaks down what losing the pick means for the Wolves - both the good and the bad - and how it will affect the team moving forward. Brendan also dives into the Ben Simmons trade talk and offers his opinion on what could potentially happen. What would it cost to acquire him? How would he fit on both sides of the ball in Minnesota? And more!
Finally, Brendan rounds out the show by updating everyone on the news of the assistant coaches being hired, their coaching backgrounds, and what they could mean for the team next season.
