Just as it seemed that an already quiet offseason was hitting its tail-end, Gersson Rosas and his front office cohorts shipped out Jarrett Culver and Juancho Hernangomez and brought in Patrick Beverley. It’s not quite the big swing some of us had hoped for when the summer hijinks kicked off, but it’s certainly a deal to be excited about.
On this week’s episode of Paynt Points, host Jake Paynting sat down with Canis Hoopus Contributor and Hashtag Basketball Draft Expert to discuss what the trade means for the Minnesota Timberwolves as a whole. The pair discuss the trade itself and what it means for the rotation, as well as the Ricky Rubio trade and some Summer League musings — plus a bunch more!

Editor’s Note: Our guy Jake Paynting also went in-depth over the weekend on the Patrick Beverley trade via his Substack, so if you haven’t had a chance to subscribe to that yet, I definitely suggest giving him a shot as he continues to pump out multiple (fantastic) articles a week.

Explored Patrick Beverley and the screen negotiation techniques that make him one of the best guard defenders around. From understanding and mastering angles to impacting switches and off-ball screens. Lots of film and fun in this one.https://t.co/dfNo0Xdix8
